Reservation Policies

Reservations can be made online, over the phone with our toll free number, or in person at the depot. Payment must be made in full at time of reservation. Reservations that include a discount or special needs request should be made over the phone or in person.

If reservations are cancelled within 48 hours of your ride you can receive a full refund. Refunds will be issued to the credit card initially used for payment, or if payment was made by cash or check, the refund will be processed by our corporate office and a check will be issued.

If a customer is unable to make scheduled reservation after the 48 hour deadline, we will be happy to reschedule their visit with us. If a customer should miss their scheduled train we will do our very best to get them on the next available.

Customers should plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled departure. The train begins to board passengers 15 minutes prior to departure. It is the customer's responsibility to be in line and waiting to board on time.

Before you go:

  • - We recommend wearing enclosed toes shoes, this is for your safety while on the train and walking around the train 
  • - Bring a jacket because the weather changes in the Adirondacks frequently 
  • - Please review the menu online--we offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar menus
  • - Note that pets are not allowed on board (see rules for service animals below)
  • - Glass bottles are not permitted on board

Please let us know when you make your reservations any of the following:

  • - If you will be getting off or on at a flag stop
  • - If you are connecting with Amtrak
  • - If you will need shuttle service to a local motel
  • - If you will need handicap access
  • - If you will have a service animal (proper ID is required and must be noted in reservation)
